Close Look at the New Headmaster
Prof. Cassandra S. Lobiesk

Much uproar has been had regarding the appointment of the new HOL Headmaster, Professor Ulol Kimil. Effective immediately, the former co-Deputy Head of House of Ravenclaw was named Headmaster by HOL’s owner, Professor Emerald Dybendahl (Rames), due to Rames’ hectic schedule. And as of February 1st, most of HOL have been clamoring about the end of the world as we know it (in a loving sort of way, of course!).

But what about the man himself? How did he come around to joining HOL as a lowly student, and then climbing his way up to the role of Rames’ right-hand man?

Professor Kimil first signed up as a HOL student in July 2nd, 2005. And while he may have been a decent ickle student, he started his takeover plans over a week later, when he turned Ravenclaw professor, just nine days after he registered. This quick change didn’t hinder him from taking classes like any regular student, however. Even as a professor, the evil mastermind has managed to earn points, win awards, and participate in contests during his first few years (even played an official game for the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team!). But perhaps the perks of becoming a professor was that Ulol was one step closer to getting ultimate “POWER” (cue thunder and lightning here).

He’s taught Mexican Mythology for a few years before closing the class and currently he is responsible for the Wands Workshop class and has taken over Professor Emeritus Olivia Rictusempra’s Charms class. By 2007, Ulol was appointed Head of the HOL Library by Rames himself, and was also added as the co-Deputy Head of House of Ravenclaw, working alongside the ruler of the world, Professor Rhiannon Llewellyn. For Ulol, the estimable Rhi was “an amazing friend, very supportive and patient with all [his] craziness during those last [two and a half] years.”

As though that wasn’t enough, in the past year or two, Prof. Kimil has collected numerous titles along his way to greatness: IRC Ops Committee, former Quidditch Board member (although he still insists that “Quiddy sucks”), and the Head Office have been his recent appointments. Of course, after his newly appointed position as Headmaster, it’s no surprise that he would be relinquishing the Deputy Head of House position for Ravenclaw, which happened to be “the best years of [his] time in HOL so far.”

When asked if there were any new shiny buttons with his new position, Ulol has stated that alas, there weren’t any, although he did attain a “precious ring.” I suppose now we should be wary, there’s a new dark lord in tow, and he’s even fiercer than Sauron and Voldemort combined.

But we don’t have to worry just yet! After this most recent Headmaster appointment, Ulol has informed us that he was “taking a break [from] the conquering business” at the moment. After all, the man still has to get used to the whole Headmaster thing, and “filling Rames’ shoes will be impossible.” Though I’m sure Ulol will do just fine.

Oh, and Headmaster sir, remember I’d like the sky-rise office on the top floor. Pent-house suite, please. Your first heir thanks you.
