Book: Leviathan trilogy
Fabricated species, steam-powered mechanical machines, speculative World War I history, and an epic adventure story on-board a flying whale running on hydrogen. If the steampunk theme had not already grabbed me from the get-go, World War I and the term “Darwinist” would have.

Book: Demon Girl
Although it had a few bad reviews at the time I downloaded it, I gave it a shot. It is about what you'd expect from a young adult novel when it comes to its need to work in some sort of unnecessary romance. Aside from that, however, I found it somewhat refreshing.

Movie: Sucker Punch
“Sweet dreams are made of these” pretty much gives an insight into Zack Snyder’s inner-mind theatre for Sucker Punch. Although, whether his dreams are in any way sweet is a matter of taste. But nothing changes the fact that the idea and story for Sucker Punch can only be formed from a psychotic dream-state. And in this case, it happened to be Snyder’s own dark, sporadic doing.

TV: New Girl
Put yourself in this situation: you’ve just gone through a bad break-up. Okay, some of us can relate to that, I’m sure. Now add an unhealthy obsession with Dirty Dancing, three new roommates, none of which you know, and a habit of breaking into little ditties whenever something exciting or nerve-wracking happens. Book: Trickster Series
Like most kids of my generation, I first picked up Pierce’s work when I was grade-schooler. A sucker for anything that involved fantasy or adventure, I eagerly snatched up The Song of the Lioness series, then bulldozed my way through The Circle of Magic quartet, and finally devoured the Protector of the Small saga when it finally hit my library’s bookshelves.

Sisters Red is based on the famous tale of Red Riding Hood. Only it’s much more gruesome and scary than that, if it’s actually possible!

TV: Downton Abbey
Downton Abbey is a show that does a slow burn very well. All of its storylines and especially the relationships take very long to develop, especially because the show tends to jump months between one episode and another, resulting in them covering two or three years in one series.

Movie: Flypaper
A well planned robbery, a decent amount of humor, and a girl involved in all of this – you’d almost think that I’m talking about The Italian Job. But no, this time, seven years after that movie, we are talking about another mastermind plan presented in the movie Flypaper.
