    Movie: Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

    A Game of Shadows had the better parts of Ritchie's Sherlock films. It had the fantastic music carried over from the first movie, the amazing scenery and cinematic effects (though the slow-motion was rather annoying at its frequency), and the obvious eye-candy (come on, what girl would not like either Downey, Jr. or Law, or both?).

    Book: Night Watch

    Night Watch has been, so far, my favorite of the Pratchett books I've read. As usual, he had his treasure trove of lines that I lapped up and guffawed over. His plot was much deeper than I imagined, and I was practically hopping back to the beginning to figure out who lived and who died.

    I learned that this series is set in Percy Jackson’s world, only telling the adventures of different characters (but, as I also soon learned, Percy still made some pretty big appearances and remained an important figure throughout the series).

    When you consider that five years were spent on its creation, it’s no surprise that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the best Wii game ever created. In fact, to many it’s one of the best Zelda games in existence.
