Play: The Crucible
The Old Vic's version of the play is unique in two ways. First, it is performed "in the round." This configuration places the stage and the first two rows of seats on the same level, allowing the people sitting in those rows to be extremely close to the action. Second, it is directed by YƤel Farber, who is well-known for her intense productions. The Crucible is no exception. It is gritty, tense, violent, poignant, and, at times, a bit frightening.

TV: Avatar the Last Airbender, Book 1 - Water
General reviews of the series itself puts Avatar: The Last Airbender as one of the very few animated shows that can capture audiences much older than its target viewers. Heck, I started my adventure in ATLA when I was in college, finished the series a couple of years after I graduated, and have been a big fan of the show, as well as its sequel, since then. And I'm in the middle of my third re-watch of ATLA. It's just that good.

What the title of the series doesn't tell you is that these four girls are on their way to being Huntresses--which, in RWBY-speak, equates to "completely badass females who can wield weapons and magic and fight out of danger like nobody's business." Just looking at Ruby Rose and her custom-designed scythe-gun is probably enough to tell you that her team isn't a bunch of pushovers.
