RQT Co-captain Interview with Kyrie Adderholt
Annovien Fang
So, HOL 2009/2010 Quidditch Season is has just started. What is a better way to start the season than some interviews with one of our very own co-captains; Kyrie Adderholt. Here is what I managed to dig up for you after Ravenclaw Quidditch’s practice:
What made you want to play Quidditch?
When I first joined HOL, I was looking for fun things to do and ways to become active in Ravenclaw so I started looking in the Roost. I found a post about Quidditch and decided immediately that it was something I wanted to try.
What is your main goal for this season? Other than winning!
Since this is my first year as co-captain, my main goal is to make sure RQT continues to be successful. RQT has a very impressive history and we had amazing co-captains last year. Tara and I definitely have some big shoes to fill.
Are there any new strategies?
Haha, wait and see.
How confident are you this year?
I am very confident in RQT’s ability to present a challenge to any of the other teams. However, with 3 out of the 4 teams having at least one new player, I don’t think any of us really know what to expect from this season
What is your favorite position in Quidditch? Why?
I love playing beater. Playing keeper is way too much pressure and chasing just isn’t fun as beating. Plus, I get to play beater along with fabulous and fierce C. Lobiesk!
What is your favorite part of the game?
Well, I love competition between teams, but my favorite part would be RQT’s channel during games. We are focused, but we have a lot of fun at the same time.
What is your favorite house to have a match with?
I love playing against Slytherin. It’s usually a very good game.
What house is your toughest opponent?
Well, last year Slytherin was our toughest opponent, but we’ll have to see how this year goes.
Will there be any new faces this year in RQT?
We have 4 “newbies” on RQT this year. Annovien Fang, Danni Luna-Starchild, Drizzt Viri and Kyndrei Ward all passed tryouts. We also added Helena Rosenblum and Kiri Galdor to the team.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I’m sooo excited about this season. I can’t wait to see how the new RQT’ers play and I’m really looking forward to playing against my friends on other teams!
